MFA Enrollment Instructions

You will receive this prompt when signing into your Google Account from your desktop

Click "Enroll"

Enter your telephone number  and choose how you want Google to send your codes. You can choose "Show More Options" and select "Google Prompt" if you prefer this method. Do not use "Security Key" If using Google Prompt, you will need to be signed into one of the Google Apps (Google Search, Youtube, Gmail) on your phone for this to work

 Click Next


Note: If you have already signed into one of the Google Apps on your phone, it will ask you to verify your phone and ask you to enter your phone number as a backup. When signing into Google, it will send a prompt to one of the Google Apps on your phone, just tap "Yes, it's me" . If you do not receive the prompt, you can click "Resend" or "Try Another Way". If you chose "Try Another Way" you can choose to send a text message to your phone

Enter the code you receive from the text message on your mobile phone and 

Click Next

You will received this message confirming MFA has been successfully enabled

Click Turn On

If you chose to have Google send you a code via text message, this is the prompt you will receive. You can choose "Don't ask again on this device" to eliminate the need to enter a new code each time you log on. 

If you need to make changes to 2-Step Verification (new phone number, new device, etc) Click on the waffle and choose "Account"

Choose "Security"
